Katalin Vasvári (HUN)

Kata Vasvári is the HR Manager of Purina’s factory in Bük. She believes that workplace wellbeing is not simply a collection of programmes or campaigns, but a culture that is experienced and lived every day.

With more than 15 years of experience in HR within the manufacturing sector, she works to create an environment where employee wellbeing, strong communities and sustainable performance reinforce one another. Over the years, the Bük factory’s lifestyle and wellbeing initiatives have developed into a comprehensive ecosystem in which physical activity, health promotion, prevention and shared community experiences form a natural whole. For Kata, sport is not only a professional interest, but also an important part of her personal story.

She learned the basics of chess from her father as a child and, through dedication and hard work, progressed to candidate master level. Chess taught her strategic thinking, patience and perseverance — qualities that continue to shape her leadership approach today. Years later, she rediscovered the joy of competition through table tennis and became the women’s champion at the Bük factory.

In her free time, she has completed several half-marathons and, while many people tend to slow down with age, she continues to seek new goals and challenges. Her latest passion is the world of kettlebell training and HYROX, inspired by her older daughter. She particularly values the way a love of sport can become an intergenerational legacy: what she once received from her father is now, in a new form, being passed back to her through her daughter. She strongly believes that there is no age limit to personal development and that physical activity is not an end in itself, but a tool for achieving our best physical, mental and personal performance. Both as a leader and in her personal life, she believes that health is not a privilege, but a foundation for long-term performance.

For an organisation that genuinely cares about its people, wellbeing does not begin or end with a table tennis table — it should be reflected in leadership decisions, the organisation of work and everyday human relationships.
