Stig Arve Sæther

Stig Arve Sæther is a professor in sports science at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and his research profile is related to skill and performance development, and especially talent development in sports and sport psychology, where he has an extensive research portfolio.

His largest research project was a longitudinal study (10 years) of a cohort of age-specific national team football players that resulted in a book.

Sæther collaborates widely with international researchers, coaches, clubs, federations, and other stakeholders within sports. He is head of the SPDSS research group and editor-in-chief of the Scandinavian Journal of Sport and Exercise Psychology.
