Tom 'Vechy' Vecsernyes is the founder and CEO of Seyu, an international sports-tech company that turns stadium crowds and remote fans alike into live, on-screen participants through its real-time fan engagement platform.
After leaving a career in international FMCG marketing to build Seyu from scratch in 2018, he's grown it into a partner for UEFA, EHF, CHL and football clubs including AS Roma, Arsenal, and Villarreal CF, delivering activations across 42+ countries and 30+ sports. Along the way, he's built a network of 5,000+ sports industry professionals spanning from Brazil to Japan, and now channels that experience as an angel investor and as an innovation manager at the University of Győr, mentoring sport- and sustainability-focused startups.
He also holds stakes in several D2C companies, giving him a broader operator's view beyond sports tech alone. Tom joins StartupGP as an angel investor, bringing that global network and hands-on go-to-market experience to the founders in the room, classed as smart investment.
