Máté Jakab is an internationally experienced basketball coach and sports professional who has worked at various levels of professional basketball across Europe, Australia and the United States.
After beginning his coaching career in Hungary, he spent two seasons on the coaching staff of Brose Bamberg in the German Bundesliga, before joining the New Zealand Breakers in Australia’s NBL. In 2024 and 2025, he was invited by the Sacramento Kings to join their NBA Summer League coaching staff.
In the United States, he also spent two seasons working in Unrivaled, the professional women’s basketball league, where he had the opportunity to work with some of the world’s leading WNBA players. He is currently the head coach of the Hungarian women’s 3x3 national team, with a key focus on the long-term development of the program and qualification for the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
